If you want to spend more time exploring the ports of call or relaxing on board, the distance covered each day will naturally be reduced. Conversely, for adventurers wishing to maximize their navigation time, it is possible to increase this distance.

At CP Yachting, we strongly recommend that our customers take out yacht trip insurance. This insurance protects you and your guests, as well as the yacht itself, against any unexpected incident.

There are several types of insurance for pleasure boating:

Civil liability insurance covers damage caused to third parties, whether people or property, while using the yacht.

Cancellation insurance is useful if, for some unforeseen reason, you have to cancel your booking. It recovers some or all of the costs incurred.

Staff and Guest insurance covers health and safety risks for all passengers on board.

Personal property insurance protects your belongings in the event of damage or loss during the rental period.

Yes. You can embark and disembark at different ports, depending on your itinerary and personal preferences.

Choosing the right yacht for your sailing experience is an important decision. To help you make the best choice, here are the key criteria to consider:

Yacht size and type: For an intimate getaway, a smaller yacht may be ideal. For larger groups or special events, a larger yacht will offer more space and amenities.

Comfort and luxury: Would you like a yacht with a spa, cinema or sports facilities?

Budget: CP Yachting offers a range of yachts for different budgets, without compromising on quality and luxury.

Activities and entertainment: If you want to take part in water sports or other activities, some yachts are better equipped to meet these needs.

Planned itinerary: Depending on your destination, some yachts may be more suitable. For example, to navigate shallow waters or reach isolated bays, a yacht with a shallow draft is preferable.

For yacht charter, please contact us for an initial consultation. During this exchange, share your expectations, preferences, desired travel dates and any specific requests.

Based on your requirements, our team will present you with a selection of yachts. Each proposal will be accompanied by full details, including model specifications, equipment, photos and prices.

If required, a tour of the selected yachts is organized. Once you’ve chosen your ideal yacht, we’ll finalize the details of your trip, including itinerary, special onboard services and culinary preferences.

We then provide you with a rental contract detailing all conditions, including payment terms. A deposit is usually required to confirm the booking, followed by the balance at an agreed date before departure.

Once your booking has been confirmed, our team will stay in touch with you to finalize all the details of your trip.

APA, or Advanced Provisioning Allowance, is a sum allocated in advance to cover the ancillary costs associated with your yacht trip. APAs are generally calculated as a percentage of the yacht charter rate, usually between 25% and 30%.

This sum covers expenses such as fuel, port charges, food and beverages, on-board communications and any other costs related to activities or special requests during the charter.

Use of the yacht, i.e. full access to all yacht facilities and amenities for the duration of the charter, is included in the charter fee.

Crew, as well as standard amenities such as bedding, towels and kitchen equipment, are also included. In addition, leisure equipment such as paddleboards or diving equipment may be available depending on the yacht.

Finally, the charter fee includes basic yacht insurance.

Fuel, shipping costs, food and beverages are generally not included in the rental charge.

Tipping the crew of your charter yacht is a common and appreciated practice in the yachting world.

While it’s not compulsory, it’s a traditional way of acknowledging the service and attention you receive during your stay.

Generally, the tip represents between 5% and 15% of the total cost of the yacht charter.

It is customary to tip the yacht’s captain at the end of the charter. The latter will then distribute it equitably among the crew members.
